As you have read, one of the Pillars mentioned is mentoring youth.
This is where the scholarships come into play. I have summarized the
scholarships available to those in Alabama; the Colleges and the
number of scholarships available. This year each scholarship is worth
$850 and the person applying for scholarship must be a son, daughter,
grandson, or granddaughter of a veteran that served their country
during times of war; legal residents of Alabama.
Members should attend the next Post meeting to obtain a scholarship
application for their eligible family members. All scholarship
applications should be turned in before May 1, 2009. There are
restrictions upon scholarships, and they are listed along side the
school and number of scholarships available per school.
